Services: Design
& Construction Administration
Based
on all information gathered and determinations made during the roof
evaluation process, the Cannon Group
will design a new roof system tailored to meet the needs of your individual
building. The
new roof system will utilize a membrane type (i.e. Built-up Roofing (BUR), Modified
Bitumen (MBM), EPDM, PVC, etc.) which has been proven to give the best performance
under conditions similar to your roof.
The new roof system design will also address, correct, and / or
accommodate existing deficiencies such as poor drainage, low thru-wall counter flashing,
etc.
Roof
System Design and Specification:
The
Cannon Group will prepare fully detailed construction
drawings and written specifications which will delineate the Scope
of required construction.
The specifications will include all roof system components,
manufacturers, and proper methods of installation.
Typically,
the Cannon Group
includes standard AIA Bidding and Negotiation services as part of the design process.
These services include providing a list of contractors qualified and
manufacturer approved to install the specified roof system, attendance at a
pre-bid meeting held at the project site, and preparation of any required
addenda prior to receipt of bids.
Construction
Administration:
The
Cannon Group includes standard AIA Construction Administration Services to provide
administration of the Contract Documents and to advise and consult with the
client. Construction
Administration Services begin with the Award of the Contract. Services and
typically include:

Conduct pre-construction meeting with Owner and Contractor prior to start
of work.

Review
of shop drawings, submittals and change orders.

Coordination
of periodic job progress meetings.

Verification
of the Contractor’s applications for payment.

Perform
pre-final and final punch list inspections.

Determine
dates of substantial and final completion
-
Verify
project close-out documentation including guarantees, as-built documents,
post - construction moisture survey, release of liens, final payment
application, etc.
